Workshops deSIgned to support our feelings

around the Climate Crisis

The Climate Within

What is…

the Climate within?

The Climate Within is a series of gentle, reflective workshops designed to help people understand and process their emotional responses to the climate crisis.

These spaces weave together climate-emotional reflection, community connection, and restorative practices that support the nervous system.

Whether you’re feeling worried, overwhelmed, confused, grief-touched, or simply curious, these sessions offer a calm, grounded way to make sense of the “inner climate” we all carry.

WhY CLIMATE CIRcLES?

Many people are feeling the emotional impact of the climate crisis.

Feelings like worry, overwhelm, grief, anger, numbness, guilt, uncertainty… These are all reasonable and rational feelings we might have. Yet most of us don’t have spaces where we can talk about these feelings honestly, gently, and without pressure to ‘fix’ something.

Climate Circles offer exactly that.

Climate Circles are based on the same approach as Climate Cafés. They are informal, empathetic spaces where people can share their emotional responses to the climate crisis without pressure or judgement. The format has been shaped by community-led initiatives globally since the mid-2010s and draws on the principles promoted by the Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA).

As a trained Climate Café facilitator (CPA UK) and an HCPC-registered Integrative Arts Therapist, I hold these circles with care, structure and grounding. The aim is simple: to offer a calm space where people can connect, reflect, and understand their “inner climate” together.

“Grief may even turn out to be our best ally in this age of climate crisis.”

Climate Circle & REstorative Yoga

This workshop combines a gentle Climate Circle with a deeply grounding Yoga Nidra practice. We begin with a facilitated reflective space where you can share or simply listen as we explore how the climate crisis is affecting our inner world. There is no ask or pressure, just a calm, supportive environment to notice and name what we’re carrying.

After a short pause, we transition into a Restorative Yoga Nidra session: a guided, lying-down meditation designed to soothe the nervous system and offer deep rest. This workshop is ideal if you’re feeling overwhelmed, climate-anxious, or simply in need of space to reflect and restore. No yoga experience required.

who are these workshops for?

  • Anyone experiencing worry, confusion, grief, frustration, overwhelm or any other feelings about the climate crisis

  • People looking for reflective community spaces

  • Anyone curious about climate emotions but unsure where to begin
